AirPods Pro Available Tomorrow
AirPods Pro go on sale October 30th. Apple’s highly anticipated wireless earbuds can be purchased directly from Apple, either online or in the brick and mortar Apple Store. It’s a good idea to call ahead and check for availability. AirPods tend to sell out quickly and are often in high demand.
The new AirPods Pro cost $249. While this is much more expensive than standard AirPods, they come with additional features which justify the price.
AirPods Pro Features
AirPods Pro offer many new features which should attract customers who have opted for high-end wireless earbuds and headphones. First and foremost, AirPods Pro have bass. Unlike previous models, which sound no better than Apple’s wired EarPods, AirPods Pro feature bigger drivers. This produces deeper bass and should sound more like larger headsets.
Noise cancellation is another new feature, which sets Apple’s new earbuds apart from the pack. Although Amazon’s Echo Buds offer noise reduction, AirPods Pro’s noise cancellation is much more advanced. It cancels out much more noise, which is essential for audio professionals and frequent business callers. Overall frequency response and detail improve when background noise is eliminated. This, combined with deeper bass, should provide professional grade audio.
The new AirPods Pro offer a new transparency mode to enhance safety. This feature allows background noise into the audio stream, so pedestrians and bikers can hear nearby cars, sirens and other necessary audio.
AirPods Pro feature IPX4 water and sweat resistance. While you won’t be surfing or swimming with these, they won’t get ruined by sweat from a workout. It’s likely that future models will offer even better water resistance.
If that’s not enough, Apple’s new wireless earbuds will fit into more ears without falling out. With three sizes of replaceable silicon tips, AirPods will fit in just about anyone’s ears.
There are a few more esoteric features offered with the new earbuds. The AirPods Pro charging case supports Qi-certified wireless chargers. A new H1 chip powers the device, which can operate up to 24 hours on a single charge.
